| Bio: |  I’m Jamie, a designer living in Chicago.My artistic interests span from graphic design, illustration, photography, painting, and sewing, to user interfaces, web animation and website development. Not many formally trained designers can hold a conversation about web standards and few web programmers know about things like kerning. This makes me a sad panda. These areas are all important to my personal growth as an artist and to my success in the design industry. Being of a geeky persuasion, most of my work features a science fiction or fantasy element. Much of my creative drive comes from Japanese anime, fantasy novels, music, and this wonderful city. When I’m not designing for fun or profit, I work part–time, hang with friends, journal, play some DDR, other video games and occasionally watch anime. Six years of ranting helps me maintain my writing skills, log past experiences, and learn from the experiences and advice of others. Blogging has proven far more useful than my neglected paper diary and it creates a very organic journaling experience. In November of 2007, I acknowledged that my teenage entries are no longer a proper representation of myself today, and thus my journal is friends-locked. Sorry for the disappointment! | |
